As I write this on a sunny bank holiday weekend here in Ireland I’m really in tune at the moment with the move through autumn into winter in my lovely rural part of the world. The garden is very untidy, shedding growth through a brilliant array of colours fading and falling, as all prepare for the long winter sleep. Even though I have been really busy indoors with work I have spent this week practising what I preach – disengaging from my own personal cult of ‘busyness’ . I have been ( even and especially when I do not feel like it) taking time outdoors to be healed and wholed over and over, with even small doses of the green and blue that the ancient wisdom traditions always knew was medicine for the mind body and spirit, and which neuroscience has now evidenced in new ways.
‘ Natures peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you,
and the storms, their energy ,
while care will drop off like autumn leaves’.

Upcoming Mindfulness and Self Compassion Retreat
I am currently planning a Mindfulness and Compassion Retreat which I will deliver via zoom on Sat Nov 20th from 10.30 to 4pm. No previous experience of Mindfulness or Self-Compassion is necessary. This is a very popular day of selfcare, relaxation and healing, and usually books up quickly. I am also reducing the fee from €70 to €40 this time – mostly in recognition that many women I am working with who know they need selfcare have real difficulty investing in themselves from their place of depletion.
So I am giving absolute priority this time to my blog readers who might like to join me for this day. If this is you please email me here to secure your place before the retreat officially goes on sale next weekend.- info@mindfulfacilitation.com.
